Preliminary DPL Building Designs
Durham Public Library design, view from south
The Building Committee has been working closely with the architects, builder, Citizens Library Building Review Committee, and interested members of the community on the design of the future Durham Public Library.

There has been a great deal of careful thought, planning, and discussion about what the library should look like, how it should function for patrons and staff, and how it will fit on the site at 49 Madbury Road. The design has been evolving in response.

Below are links to a number of design concepts that have been developed over the past two months. The process continues as each design concept is critiqued and revised. If you have an idea to share with the Building Committee, send us your thoughts. To send us an email, Click here.
